United Way of Central Kansas (UWCK) recognizes that throughout history, populations of people have been unfairly treated and discriminated against. As an organization we believe all individuals deserve the same respect, treatment, and consideration. We commit ourselves to equity, justice, and fairness within the procedures, processes, and distribution of our resources and denounce any form of discrimination because it undermines the well-being and vitality of our communities.

We commit to equity as a core value and practice to advance our mission of connecting people, resources, and organizations to create a thriving community for everyone. We believe inclusive communities are stronger communities and we will continue making this a priority in our work by ensuring all voices are heard.

UWCK will work to dismantle disparities and strive to engage all community members, especially those who have been marginalized, in the shared work of creating a better future for all. We will continue to focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion training for our staff and volunteers.

Our organization is committed to leveraging our assets, programming work, and efforts, in advocating for all and creating more equitable communities. We will continue to work together to better the lives of all in our community and Live United, as we are stronger together than we are apart.
