The 12th Annual Catholic Social Service Charity Wine Tasting Event

Tour the world of wine while helping those in need.

Catholic Social Service will host the Eleventh Annual Charity Wine Tasting Event and Auction on Friday, April 26^th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Club at Stone Ridge in Great Bend KS. Tickets are $35 per person, $250 for a table of eight, or $375 for a table of twelve, and can be purchased at the Catholic Social Service office at 2201 16^th Street in Great Bend. Proceeds from the event support  individuals and families who are in need.

With the help of Standard Beverage in Wichita and Chlumsky Liquormart in Great Bend, the annual wine tasting event features award-winning wines from local Kansas vintners, a new selection of wines from around the world, and friendly connoisseurs to answer wine-related questions. The event also features live entertainment by classical guitarist, Richard J Falcon Jr, live and silent auctions throughout the evening, and many other games and prizes.  A block of rooms have been reserved for out-of-town guests who call the Best Western Angus Inn before April 12^th.  “The wine tasting event is the major annual fundraiser for Catholic Social Service,” said Rebecca Ford, Communication and Development Coordinator for Catholic Social Service. “The revenue that Catholic Social Service receives from the wine tasting event helps to bridge the gap from receding grant dollars so that we can continue to provide the same level of service for those in need.”

As the Catholic Charities agency for southwest Kansas, Catholic Social Service has been providing help and hope for people in need, regardless of their faith, since 1965. Services include free pregnancy counseling, teen mom support, adoption services, marriage and healthy relationship classes, addiction and recovery counseling, economic assistance, and disaster relief.
