Resource Development Coordinator (Part-Time)

United Way of Central Kansas

United Way of Central Kansas is seeking a relationship-driven, community-minded individual to serve as our Part-Time Resource Development Coordinator.

UWCK works to strengthen Barton and Pawnee Counties by helping connect individuals and families to resources and opportunities that support financial stability, youth opportunity, healthy communities, and community resiliency. This position plays an important role in helping grow support for that work through donor engagement, sponsorship outreach, community presentations, and fundraising event support.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, representing an organization in the community, and helping create meaningful local impact.

Position Details

  • Part-Time (10–12 hours per week)
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Some evenings and weekends required for events and outreach
  • Local travel throughout Barton and Pawnee Counties required

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with donors, sponsors, businesses, and community partners
  • Assist with sponsorship and in-kind donation outreach
  • Solicit auction items and experiences for fundraising events
  • Represent UWCK at community events, meetings, and presentations
  • Help promote fundraising events and encourage attendance
  • Assist with donor stewardship and relationship-building efforts
  • Support outreach and fundraising efforts alongside the Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable networking and speaking with groups
  • Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, marketing, or community engagement preferred
  • Familiarity with Barton and Pawnee County communities is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
