2017 Pacesetters Announced

With support from the Best Western Angus Inn, and amazing food from A&G Catering and volunteers from RSVP/VIA, the United Way of Central Kansas hosted their 3rd annual Pacesetter Luncheon on July 11th to honor the top 15 Payroll Donor Businesses. The UWCK Pacesetter Companies are responsible for raising nearly 50% of the annual goal, amounting to more than $135,000 for United Way Community Partners, and have proven year after year, that a small group of caring individuals and businesses can make a huge impact on our community. In addition to honoring these Pacesetter Companies, UWCK also honored other outstanding businesses in our community.  

The Top 3 Pacesetters were:

Gold-CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions, Silver-Dillons, Bronze-Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball.    

Rounding out the Top 15 were: Benefit Management LLC, Farmers Bank & Trust, Fuller Industries, Great Bend COOP, Great Bend Regional Hospital, Marmies, Midwest Energy, Northern Natural Gas-Bushton, Straub International, Sunflower Electric, Superior Essex, and USD 428.

The Top 3 Giving Per Capita Businesses were:

For the first time, UWCK also honored those businesses that have 100% payroll donation participation.  Those businesses were Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball, Marmies, Great Bend Children’s Learning Center, Marmies, Washington Special Services, and Spectrum CPA.  All five businesses were entered into a drawing to win an Ice Cream Social donated by Freddy’s Frozen Custard and the winner was Great Bend Children’s Learning Center.
